VOLUNTEERS

Founded in 2011, the Igwebuike Scholars Program is Igwebuike's newest community service endeavor. With the motto “In Unity there is Strength” our organization provides campus cultural awareness and resources for community and learning. Understanding some of the challenges we face as a community, the objective of the Igwebuike Scholars Program is to provide an opportunity for mentoring, tutoring, and leadership development for high school students in the South Bay. In addition our program provides financial assistance to an incoming SCU Freshman. In the Spring of 2011 we awarded our first scholarship to Joshua McKie who is currently a Sophomore studying Communications and Sociology. During the 2012-2013 school year we will visit local schools to mentor and tutor students, as well as invite students to our campus for leadership conferences, college tours, student panels and educational competitions. Join us in our inaugural year and help us build a program a that will serve future generations of aspiring college students.
